A spooky and immersive FREE pop-up experience has opened in a vacant retail space at 8552 Melrose Avenue in West Hollywood themed after the "Fear Street" trio of films being released this month on streaming giant Netflix. The premise: after a series of brutal slayings, a teen and her friends take on an evil force that's plagued their notorious town for centuries. Known as "Murder Capital USA," Shadyside has a violent and gruesome past.

Fear Street is a teenage horror fiction series written by American author R. L. Stine, starting in 1989. In 1995, a series of books inspired by the Fear Street series, called Ghosts of Fear Street, was created for younger readers, and were more like the Goosebumps books in that they featured paranormal adversaries (monsters, aliens, etc.) and sometimes had twist endings.
