Mrs. Knott’s Chicken Dinner Restaurant first opened in 1934 with Mrs. Knott and her children serving the first customers in their tea room. The restaurant has grown over the years into one of the largest in California, but the classic fried chicken dinner is still made the same way today using Mrs. Knott's recipes.
Were it not for Mrs. Knott’s Chicken Dinner Restaurant, Knott’s Berry Farm would not be the beloved, world class theme park it has become. To entertain guests waiting for a seat at his wife, Cordelia’s, popular restaurant, Walter Knott began erecting a collection of modest old west buildings that established the basis of Ghost Town. The rest, as they say, is history ...
Knott’s Berry Farm is celebrating its 100th Anniversary this summer. In honor of this occasion, Mrs. Knott’s Chicken Dinner Restaurant is offering several special menus, including Cordelia’s Tea Party (see our video, link below), and an all-new bar menu featuring 15 classic cocktails and 7 delicious appetizers.
theFUNnelCakeBlog, along with Ashley and Nick from Mouse Vibes visited Mrs. Knott’s to try the new offerings. Everything was delicious. Also… see us try “The Proud Bird”… a $55.00 12 oz. hand-breaded chicken breast with lettuce, pickles, and mayo on a Hawaiian bun, garnished with a mini chicken slider. Served with a mound of fries. Did we eat it all? What was our favorite app? Favorite drink? You’ll have to watch to find out!
